My family and I chose Earth when my husband died suddenly. We’re all feel really good about our choice. It was so hard for us to lose Don, but gives us some peace to feel like he continues to nurture the earth. I tell everyone about it and his cool it is.

The idea is great. Actually, would rate it lower. The people I have talked with about it mention how expensive it is compared to cremation, which it is. That will keep a lot of people away. Might have kept me away had I not been so caught up with the Green-Ness of composting

We believe Earth is a responsible way to return to return dust to dust. We have shared our plans with some people, but leave it to them to decide if they want explore Earth as an option.

Great idea, maybe this will help with maintaining a healthy planet. All the other alternatives seem like such a waste, even selfish. Great people to talk with and set up was easy.

I am very pleased to of found Earth Funeral. I have been wanting to have this set-up for myself and my wife before our passing so my children would not have to go through the stress and the cost of the funeral arrangements. Usually in these circumstances the family during their mourning are left making difficult decisions. I feel during those times the family members making the arrangements are easily taking advantage of by the funeral home in cost. It is good to be in control of that. Also, no footprint is left by casket burials or cremation vaults. The personnel at Earth Funeral are so pleasant to deal with and get right back to you if you leave a message. I truly believe that the least energy used and the least land taken for my remains is a very good thing. Very happy and the price seems the best. And the company seems to follow thru!!

I have not needed the service but it is paid for, hence, I chose 9. The registration process is straightforward although it would have been nice to know that the process included an insurance policy for the companies benefit.

Great inexpensive "burial" and environmentally positive

I've been looking for an AFFORDBLE Green burial option. Earth Funeral has what I was looking for: no burial plot to buy, no funeral expenses, a way that my body can feed the earth as compost. The options of embalming and cremation use chemicals and too much energy and I am concerned about the future of our precious Earth's survival if I use these 2 methods. This company is very thorough and easy to work with. A very pleasant staff and professional.

As a dedicated composter, I enjoy seeing my kitchen waste, my horse's manure, and yard waste turn into rich, fragrant humus. When I discovered my own body could do the same thing, I signed up right away. Personally, I have always been appalled by the idea of being buried in an expensive box and decomposing inside it six feet underground. That left cremation which I knew wasn't particularly earth friendly due to high carbon emissions and high energy use. There is a reason people choose to do a human composting. It is important to family’s to have their loved one cared for and returned to the earth the way God would approve of. Earth does that. My child was respected by the earth family of employees.

Our experience was perfect. Earth Funeral personnel are kind, responsive, and very helpful throughout the entire process. We hope this option becomes locally available in all states. Earth has an easy-to-use online portal for setting everything up and tracking progress, but it never felt impersonal- a human funeral director (or incredibly impressive bot) was helping and very responsive every step of the way.

I like the idea of my body's nutrients being put to use after my passing for reforestation conservation projects, and contributing to a more healthy climate rather than emitting hazardous gases into the atmosphere such as cremation does. It would almost seem like a part of me exists still among the trees. Also like that my family can claim a small portion of the soil for their personal garden.
