Although we are pleased with how the service worked out for us. And how the comnunication throughout the process was excellent. The concept is new and many would find it difficult to accept. As a result I would be hard pressed to give a 10.

Human composting resonates with me as a natural way to dispose of my remains. The webinar, website and personal consultant were all informative and inspired confidence.

It is the most thoughtful and sustainable and easy way to deal with a funeral. It doesn’t pollute the air like cremation, and it doesn’t use up valuable land like a burial. It also seems the most compassionate way to deal with a body.

I am on board but some are still connected to traditional burial methods. So I will recommend to selective friends.

Earth Funeral has excellent customer service & offers an excellent environmentally friendly way to handle one's body after death.

I know some people who for various reasons think it's "creepy" to do anything else except bury the body in a box in the earth. However, the more I learn about the Earth process, and especially after I see the new facility that will open in Maryland - I'll likely share my experience with anyone who's open to learn about it?

Earth gave complete information and multiple opportunities to ask further questions. Staff were very pleasant. I feel good knowing that my loved ones will be spared the burden of making arrangements after I'm gone and that my remains will be handled in a way that replenishes the fertility of the soil rather than making land unusable for other purposes and generating toxic waste.

Composting my body is in line with my values. You price was reasonable. And you transport the body.

Allowing my body to return to nature after I die is what I have wished for many years, but with no way to have that carried out. The Earth webinar was excellent. Reviews we read were reassuring. Our conversation with Michell was very helpful. My partner and I are very pleased with our choice. I recall some lyrics from one of Joni Mitchell’s songs. “We are stardust. We are golden, and we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.” I realize that she did not mean that so literally, but I do. Thank you all for making this possible!

This is the alternative I have been looking for!

It's very natural, my family can put my "soil" wherever they want. I find it so comforting, that should I be traveling (anywhere in the world), they will bring me home without causing any stress on my family.

Because I am convinced it is the best thing for the planet.

It is time to stop wasting land for graveyards. No fossil fuels to burn me...just compost me and use the soil to rebuild the Earth.

Wonderful way to end the life cycle.

I love the idea of transformation into soil. It is exactly what my daughter wanted and I have been telling a lot of people about it already. My daughter did not want to be cremated or buried in the ground, so this was a great option. This is how all of us in my family want to go now. I am so glad this is available to people, to have another choice.

Coffins are so confining and wasteful, ashes to ashes, dust to dust as it was for thousands of years is a better way.

The Earth funeral package costs less than most other options. But even better, it returns our bodies to the Earth, as Nature intended and does not contribute greenhouse gases or pollutants or chemicals to the environment and uses renewable hydro power to power the composting tubes. A huge plus is that by making our arrangements ahead of time it makes is very easy for our surviving loved ones to carry out our wishes and takes the burden of making arrangements off their shoulders when they are already dealing with the grief. All they have to do is make the call to Earth and everything is handled for us/them by Earth.

When my husband passed away, we had not really had a full discussion on final arrangements. I went with Earth-Funeral throwing "caution to the wind". A couple of small glitches, but I have no regrets! After meeting some of the Earth-Funeral team at my husband's resting place, I had no hesitation prepaying arrangements for myself. The team are young, but very (comforting) professionals.

When it comes to the disposition of the body of a loved one or yourself, there are no pleasant options. Yet, decomposition forces a decision to be made within a very specific deadline. Across 50 years of providing music services to funerals, I have been contracted to assist with more funerals than I could possibly tally. I have seen a lot "behind the scenes" because I took funerals seriously and always arrived very early to set up before the chapel was opened to relatives. The "behind the scenes" events I witnessed involve the last-minute repairs to a decomposing body that had already been expertly prepared for viewing but was intercepted by nature taking its course. Embalming and presentation of the deceased is more complicated and more "science vs. the natural course of events" than anyone could imagine. On one important note, I have never once encountered a funeral director that was disrespectful in any way to the deceased or their survivors. Now that I have aged into the "next in line to go," I have weighed out every option of the disposition of my body upon my passing. Burying, burning, drowning, or scientific experimentation are not "a fit" for me, a survivor of childhood sadistic sexual abuse. I have sacrificially given my all throughout my lifetime to help and protect others. Perhaps, in planning the disposition of my body, it is fair that, for once in my life, I choose the path that would allow me the opportunity for a quiet, peaceful and tranquil farewell? After diligently researching all the options, I chose Earth Funeral. A representative granted me a phone consultation. She couldn't have been more compassionate to my situation. I had to ask some very personal questions, to be certain my last wishes would be granted, or at least respected. The agent responded by confiding her own similar situation to mine. Business is business, and it is rare these days when any business growing in popularity can provide a rep taking the time to converse live with a potential client and connect as another human being. Earth Funeral's option is organic and natural, and offers no element of the childhood abuse I suffered and survived: being deprived of oxygen by earth or water, being burned, or my body being violated in any other manner. Instead, Earth Funeral offers an alternative to these, the perfect option to simply be "laid to rest." I am nearing 70 years of age and I have never truly known "rest" no matter the extensive therapy or more than a half century of prayers, begging God for peace. It brings me great comfort that Earth Funerals offers the narrative to close the last chapter of my life with a peaceful ending to my life story.

I am already sharing brochures with family, friends, and neighbors. So far they are impressed and researching on their own as they are finding it to be a very rewarding way to end one life and renew others. I am in process of renewing my Adv Medical Directive to include Earth.

I watched the Earth Funeral webinar that my friend had signed up to. Their composting process is exactly what I know to be the right thing to do in today's world of excessive pollution. In my comparative shopping I found composting to be the best value too. I spoke with one of their very kind associates and signed up easily. My remains will enrich our Earth-- almost a gift to the planet-- joy!

For me personally, giving back to the earth is a wonderful concept and much more appealing than other methods of burial. Why Earth Funeral specifically? The ability to cover many states, the comprehensive package, the time spent on a zoom session, calls and virtual tour by very caring staff…and no pressure to purchase! Everything I could have hoped for!

I’ve been doing research for many years as I got older because I didn’t want to burden the Earth with my remains by using a conventional burial of either cemetery and coffin or cremation, both of which are extremely expensive to the Earth. In using Earth Funeral, I feel I have found an acceptable compromise, since I can’t be put directly into the Earth, unless I jump through numerous hoops, and navigate red tape, and spend money in order to put aside a portion of my own land as a cemetery. I live in a semi arid region that would’ve had to have been watered in order for my body to decompose. Had I lived in an area where rain would have watered me into decomposition, I would’ve chosen that. I feel that Earth Funeral, in gently decomposing my body after death and rendering me as I wanted to be rendered, into earth, is an excellent choice, not only for the earth’s health, but for my pocketbook’s health, even as I live.
