I compared Earth to the two other main 'human composting' companies serving California, and Earth offered more services than the others at a comparable price. I think its the best answer considering we want to save our planet. Too many coffins buried. Thats not the answer. Cremation seems destructive. Since we have to choose one. To me, the Earth Funeral method seems natural.

Earth Funeral has been a pleasure to work with so far. They have answered all of my questions and are helping me create momentum to have human composting as an option at national cemeteries so that veterans can receive proper military honors during the spreading of their remains. We are working as a team to make this happen.

I was gratified to learn body transformation is now available on the East Coast. I saw an informative Earth Funeral webinar and it was easy to sign up. The funeral insurance company they are working with, Homesteaders, is long-standing, has a good reputation, and was very good to deal with around my mother's cremation a few years ago. I'm happy to be set up for composting -- the greenest method. Instead of taking up a piece of land in perpetuity, I can feed the soil and have a memorial stone in the walk of a memorial garden.

I worked with Earth Funeral for about a year deciding how to best proceed with my future arrangements. Madison spent ample time with me, answered all of my questions and some I didn't even know needed ansswering! She and all of the staff were compassionate, and helpful and genuinely wanted to ensure I made the best decision possible for myself. When I finally did purchase my plan, I felt relieved and satisfied that I had chosen an option that aligned with my values, gave back to the earth, and provided my family with soil if they so choose. The cost was reasonable and quite a bit less expensive than green burial and other non-traditional burial options, except for cremation which didn't align so closely with my values. I appreciate how Earth gives back to companies to offset their carbon footprint and uses the soil for conservation projects. I really valued all they stand for and the vitality of the young and perhaps not so young folks I interacted with. I would highly recommend them. I have piece of mind knowing my loved ones will have this taken care of when the time comes. Oh, and the travel protection is awesome!

The whole idea of this is VERY appealing to me as we (people) are destroying the earth. We are committed to doing our part in preserving the earth for our future generations and what better way than to be used to plant vegetation to beautify our environment alongside like minded people!

Earth friendly option to traditional arrangements.

I cannot describe the humbleness and joy when I started reading about Earth Funeral. I did a search, review their material and started thinking the way I wanted my body to go when I died. It came to me as why not cremation or full body burial or even the program with water and then sent thru the irrigation system. I thought what can I do to maintain the evergreen in the forest or in the garden at home close to my lovely gardenia bush or jasmine vine?. My main idea was to stay close, in the Oregon weather whereby others could enjoy a moment of peace and gratitude for the natural sightseeing. I decided to start working with a gentleman from Earth, the process has been smooth and joyful per se to where I want to be forever. I appreciate every one of the persons from Earth since I feel they can understand me on what I am planning to do after my life ends in this world. Thank you to everyone at earth.

My wife and I, both in our 80's, opted prospectively, for Earth funeral. In considering the options, this seems the most sensible. You have a chance to give back and, as well, leave a permanent contribution to this planet and a touching memorial for all members of your family. You are not just remembered as an urn or headstone but as a concerned person, contributing back to your community and leaving a personal remembrance to each and every family member. On the practical side, the cost is less than a traditional funeral and the beginnings of this process are well thought out. I’m very pleased I discovered Earth Funerals. For the past several years I’ve been thinking about an alternative to cremation / this plan had been in place for 11 yrs, but I wanted something…different - less harsh - more environmentally sound….Just by coincidence I saw an upcoming webinar advertised on FaceBook. I was delighted to be the first client to sign up for Earth Funeral when the option for soil conversion became legal in Pennsylvania last fall. Besides the more reasonable cost, composting is earth-friendly and goes along with my environmentally friendly life-style. Like Jimmy Carter, I even wash and reuse plastic bags, if I can't avoid using them in the first place.
